Rights

The Right of Residence

Each member has the right to establish a single physical residence on the community premesis. The member may have exclusive ownership of this residence but not the land on which it sits.

The Right to Privacy

Each member has the right to privacy within their own residence. They may resonably expect that no one may enter, observe or express public opinion about the interior of the residence or any activities therin without the explicit consent of the resident.

The Right of Personal Expression

Each member has the right to express themselves as they see fit as long as the expression does not violate the community's Vision, Values or Membership Commitments, and does not physically affect others in a negative way. An example of an expression negatively affecting others would be incessant loud noise. Since the physical sound waves of the noise impact others, this qualifies as "physically affecting others in a negative way".

Responsibilities

Uphold the Vision and Values of the Community

Every member shall support and uphold the Vision, Values and Membership Commitments of the community both on and off the community premesis. Members shall also be willing to engage in discussion regarding the upholding and supporting of the Vision and Values.

Fees

Anyone who maintains a residence on the physical premises of the community shall pay a monthly sum to "The Grove" organization. This sum is a monetary amount which covers or contributes to: the land lease/mortgage, monthly maintenance of the physical plant, and current or future projects or activities. The fee may be negotiated insofar as some or all of it may be forgiven at the descretion and consent of the Vision Circle.
